January 2nd, – three videos!

The woodturning club I’m in has been turning wig stands for donation to Susan G. Komen for several years now. The club has been increasing in numbers, slowly but surely, but with newer turners, the demonstrations we’re presenting during meetings has had to change to include more projects that can be completed by less experienced turners. Add on the impacts of the pandemic and it’s been rough to get demonstrations scheduled. For the January meeting, I decided to do something a little different.

My son and I went to YouthBuild, set up all the equipment as if there was going to be a club meeting, but just recorded the video. Then, after about two straight days of editing, I managed to create three videos for the club’s January demo. To a non-turner, they’re not going to be all that impressive or interesting, since they deal more with the mechanics of turning than they do with making a finished project. They were shown at the club meeting and received positive feedback.

I thought I’d link to them here, just in case anyone was reading that did NOT follow the club’s Facebook group.
